Very amazing color layout and intriguing theme, with beautiful and interesting elements here and there to make this whole experience of enjoying art worthy of our time. Hope to see more of such works be done and displayed on this website which both you and me and all of us will have a great time viewing and learn just a little bit or a lot from!
In which case, you just flip your fighter around and blast the tail-gater!!! Shweeeshh.... ZEEEEWW pew pew pew zhewww pew pew kapow BOOM!!!!
There's no air in space, so a space fighter does not have to point in its direction of flight- it can orient itself any way it likes in order to bring guns to bear on an enemy craft or point engines in the right direction for a burn. All those old scenes in SF shows where a hapless space fighter can't shake an enemy fighter off their tails and get shot down are utter bilge. Just watch a video of one of the old space shuttles. Same idea But this still looks different enough. I think the first thing that made me think of ME is the drawing/painting/airbrushing style, along with the bur and lighting. It looks similar to ME's artwork
I find it funny how many "space" fighters show elements of aerodynamics in their design, personally I rationalize it by telling myself it allows them to operate in atmospheric conditions as well as deep space, but I sometimes wonder if it appears so often because it's a common feature in "fighter" craft, because it makes them look cooler, or because of my excuse
Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, Andromeda, all have aerodynamic space fighters that are not only capable of fighting in an atmosphere, but do fight in atmosphere. Babylon 5's fighters weren't very aerodynamic, and didn't fight in atmosphere (their lack of atmospheric capability was mentioned in the show).
